1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Tezzo, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Tezzo is a ride-sharing platform that connects drivers offering rides with passengers looking for rides — Tezzo itself does not own or operate any vehicles.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Drivers must hold a valid driving license and vehicle documents as required by local law. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

3. Nature of Service — Cost-Sharing, Not a Taxi Service

Tezzo is a carpooling and cost-sharing platform, not a taxi, cab, or commercial passenger transport service. Rides offered on Tezzo are intended for drivers already travelling a route to share their journey and split the actual cost of that trip (such as fuel, toll, and reasonable wear-and-tear) with passengers travelling the same way. Drivers may not use Tezzo to operate a for-profit commercial transport business. Fares shown in the app are cost-sharing contributions and are not designed to generate profit beyond the driver’s actual cost of the trip. Tezzo does not guarantee that this cost-sharing model satisfies every requirement under local transport law, and users remain individually responsible for complying with applicable laws in their state or city, including the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and any state-specific rules on the use of private (non-commercial) vehicles.

4. Driver Responsibilities

Drivers are independent users of the platform, not employees or agents of Tezzo. Drivers must hold valid insurance and registration for any vehicle they post, drive safely and legally, and accurately represent ride details (route, seats, price, timing). Most personal vehicles are registered and insured for private, non-commercial use. Drivers are solely responsible for confirming with their insurance provider whether their policy covers carpooling or cost-sharing trips arranged through an app, and for obtaining any additional cover, permit, or registration that may be required for their vehicle or state. Tezzo does not provide, arrange, or guarantee insurance coverage for drivers, passengers, or vehicles.

5. Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers must provide accurate booking information, arrive at the pickup point on time, and treat drivers and fellow passengers respectfully. Repeated no-shows or cancellations may result in account restrictions.

6. Payments — Directly Between Passenger and Driver

Tezzo does not handle money. Passengers pay drivers directly — in cash, by UPI, or by whatever method the two of them agree — and Tezzo does not receive, hold, or transfer any part of it. Tezzo is not a payment service, payment aggregator, or intermediary, and has no payment provider. The amount shown on a ride is the cost-sharing contribution the driver has asked for; agreeing it, collecting it, and settling anything owed after a cancellation is between the passenger and the driver. Tezzo holds no funds and cannot reverse a payment. If something goes wrong, you can report it to us and we may act on a user’s account, but we cannot move money on your behalf.

7. Cancellations

Both drivers and passengers may cancel a ride before it starts. Late cancellations (close to the scheduled pickup time) may affect your account rating and, for drivers, future visibility in search results.

8. Liability Disclaimer

Tezzo facilitates connections between drivers and passengers but is not a transportation carrier. Tezzo is not liable for the conduct of drivers or passengers, the condition or insurance status of vehicles, or incidents occurring during a ride, except as required by applicable law.

9. User Conduct

Harassment, discrimination, fraud, or unsafe driving will not be tolerated and may result in immediate account suspension. Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on genuine ride experiences.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile settings. Tezzo may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
