1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Tezzo handles personal data when you use the Tezzo app or tezzo.co.in.
Tezzo is operated by Sunil Kumar Saini, sole proprietor of Msunjay Enterprises, 2nd Floor, 28/ST/L/364, Satluj Apartment, near Dolphins High School, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302033, India, who is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“Tezzo”, “we”). Contact: Tezzocar@gmail.com, +91 78510 99496.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not show advertising in the app, and we do not use your data to target advertising.
2. What We Collect
Account: your name, email address and mobile number; your password, which our sign-in provider stores only in scrambled (hashed) form; if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name, email address and, where provided, profile picture that service shares with us; your sign-in and two-factor settings; and a record of when you accepted our Terms.
Profile: whatever you choose to add: profile photo, bio, city, date of birth, gender, postal address, emergency contact name and number, travel preferences, and your referral code.
Vehicles (drivers): vehicle type, make, model, colour, registration number and seat capacity.
Identity verification (optional): the type and number of the document you submit, photos of its front and back, a selfie, and our review decision and notes.
Rides and bookings: rides you publish or book, with places, stopovers, dates, times, seats, prices, add-ons and preferences, and their status, cancellations and no-show claims.
Messages, reviews and reports: chat messages and price proposals on a booking, ratings and reviews you give and receive, and reports you make or that are made about you; and the list of users you have blocked.
Location: see section 4.
Saved payment details (optional): UPI IDs and bank account details you chose to save in your profile, which some earlier versions of the app allowed; current versions do not ask for them. We never collect card details, and no ride payment passes through Tezzo.
Device and technical data: a push-notification token for your device; the IP address and device or browser details our sign-in provider records when you sign in; and records of the notifications and emails we send you.
Support: whatever you tell us when you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
We do not collect fingerprint or face data. If you turn on fingerprint login, your phone does the fingerprint, face or screen-lock check and tells the app only whether it matched. With it on, logging out keeps your sign-in saved on that phone, encrypted and behind that check, until you log in another way or choose "Use another account".
3. Why We Use It
We use your data to: create and secure your account; let you publish, find and book rides, and tell you about rides on your routes; show your profile to other users and let the people on a booking contact each other; send notifications and emails about bookings, rides, messages, ride alerts, your account and announcements; review identity documents when you ask to be verified; keep Tezzo safe by handling reports, SOS alerts, no-show claims, fraud, misuse and suspensions; answer support requests; comply with the law and lawful requests; and, only if you switch it on, understand crashes and how the app is used (section 7).
We rely on your consent, which you give when you create an account and when you choose optional features. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows it without consent, we also process data for the purpose you provided it for, to comply with law or a court order, and to respond to a medical emergency or a threat to someone’s safety.
4. Location
We use your phone’s location only while you are using a feature that needs it: to fill in a pickup point, show rides near you, or choose a place on the map. Tezzo does not track your location in the background.
During an active ride, the driver’s phone shares its live location, which the passengers on that ride can see. If you use SOS, your location at that moment is sent to the Tezzo team.
We also keep the places you search for (with their map coordinates), the addresses you save and the routes you save as ride alerts, so we can show them to you again and tell you about matching rides.
5. Who Can See Your Data
Everyone using Tezzo can see your name, profile photo, rating, number of rides, badges (such as ID verified or Premium Driver) and the rides you publish. Your bio and city stay private unless you choose to show them. Profile photos are stored at a web link that anyone who has the link can open.
The other person on a confirmed booking can see your mobile number, the messages you send them and the pickup details and, if you are the driver, your live location during the ride. Your mobile number is never shown on your public profile.
Upcoming rides you publish are also listed on our website, tezzo.co.in, where anyone can see and search them without an account: the towns along the route, the date and time, the seat price, the seats left, whether the ride is women-only, and your first name and rating. The website never shows your surname, photo, mobile number, vehicle details or exact pickup and drop points, and a ride leaves it once it has departed, is full, is cancelled or is hidden.
The Tezzo team can see account and ride information, reports, and identity documents submitted for review, when that is needed to run Tezzo, give support or keep users safe. Our admin panel requires two-factor authentication. We do not read your chat messages as part of running the service.
We also share data with the service providers in section 6, only for what they do for us; with government agencies, courts or police where the law requires or allows it; and with a successor if Tezzo is transferred, who must keep protecting it under this policy.
6. Service Providers and Where Your Data Is Stored
Your account, profile, rides, messages and documents are stored with Supabase in its Mumbai, India region.
We use these providers to run Tezzo: Supabase for our database, sign-in and file storage (India); Google for the maps shown in the app, for places and routes (which our own servers request on your behalf), for Google sign-in, and for Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers notifications on Android; Apple for notifications on iPhone and, where offered, Sign in with Apple; Expo for delivering push notifications (United States); Resend for sending emails (outside India); Vercel for hosting tezzo.co.in (outside India); and, only if you switch them on, PostHog and Sentry (section 7).
Some of these providers process data outside India. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 allows this except to countries the Government of India restricts, and we will follow any such restriction.
7. Analytics and Crash Reporting
Both of these are OFF until you switch them on, from Profile → Privacy & data. Nothing in this section is sent unless you do, and you can switch either one back off at any time, and it takes effect immediately.
Both services receive a pseudonymous account identifier (a random ID that means nothing outside our own systems) and never your name, email address, phone number, photo, ride routes, saved addresses or messages.
PostHog (hosted in the United States) receives a short, fixed list of product events: an account was created, a ride search was run and how many results it returned, a booking was requested, a ride was published, an account was deleted, and when the app is installed, updated, opened or backgrounded. It does not record your screen, and we do not send the cities or addresses you search for.
Sentry (hosted in the United States) receives crash and error reports so faults can be diagnosed. Request bodies and headers are not attached, and web addresses are stripped of their query strings before being sent.
8. Notifications and Emails
With your permission, we send push notifications about bookings, rides, messages, ride alerts, your account and announcements. You can turn categories off in Profile → Communication preferences or switch notifications off in your phone’s settings. Safety alerts are sent regardless of those preferences.
We email you about bookings, identity-verification decisions and messages from the Tezzo team, and our sign-in provider emails you sign-in codes, confirmations and password resets. We do not send marketing emails.
9. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access rules that let each user reach only their own data and what other users have shared with them, private storage for identity documents, limits against abuse, and two-factor authentication on our admin panel. No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
10. How Long We Keep Data
We keep your data while your account is open.
When you delete your account, we remove your name, email address, mobile number, profile photo and other profile details, emergency contact, saved payment details, vehicles, identity documents and their photos, saved addresses, ride alerts, search history, notifications and device tokens, and you can no longer sign in.
Some records are kept without your name or contact details, because they also belong to other people: rides and bookings you took part in, ratings and reviews, and messages you sent, which stay visible to the person you sent them to.
We may keep specific information longer where the law requires it, or where it is needed for a legal claim, a report of misconduct or a safety investigation, and only for as long as that purpose lasts. Delivery logs for push notifications and emails are deleted after 30 days.
11. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the following rights, and most can be exercised from inside the app.
Access: Profile → Privacy & data → Download my data gives you a machine-readable copy of the data held about you, including your profile, rides, bookings, ratings, saved addresses and vehicles.
Correction: every profile field can be edited from Profile at any time.
Erasure: Profile → Delete account, or tezzo.co.in/delete-account. Section 10 explains what is removed and what is kept.
Withdrawing consent: Profile → Privacy & data. Analytics and crash reporting are each off until you turn them on, and either can be turned off again at any time; withdrawal is as easy as giving consent. Withdrawing consent to the core service means deleting your account, since Tezzo cannot work without it.
Nomination: you may nominate another person to exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity. Write to the Grievance Officer to record a nomination.
Grievances: see section 16. We respond to requests about your data within 30 days.
12. Children
Tezzo is only for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it. A child travelling with a parent or guardian on that adult’s booking does not have an account, and we collect no data about them.
13. Permissions the App Asks For
Location: to fill in places and show rides near you (section 4). Photos and camera: to add a profile photo and identity documents. Notifications: to send the alerts in section 8. Fingerprint, face or screen lock: only if you turn on fingerprint login.
You can refuse or withdraw any permission in your phone’s settings; only the features that need it will stop working.
14. Our Website
tezzo.co.in sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider records technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top shows the current version.
16. Grievance Officer
Grievance Officer: Sunil Kumar Saini, Msunjay Enterprises, 2nd Floor, 28/ST/L/364, Satluj Apartment, near Dolphins High School, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302033, India.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
